What we measure: The last 28 days of stories that name the brand, grouped by topic:
- Intent — boycotts, backlash, protests, “pull ads.”
- Speech — moderation, censorship, deplatforming, misinformation.
- DEI — DEI/ESG/“woke”/CRT phrasing.
- Culture — LGBTQ/Trans, abortion, immigration, guns, Israel/Gaza, BDS.
- Policy — tariffs, state actions/AGs, FTC/SEC/DOJ, compliance.
- Impact — sales/revenue/share, forecasts, advertisers shifting spend.
How to read: If there isn’t much recent news, we show each topic’s % share. With enough news, bars switch to show what’s hotter or quieter than usual for this brand.
How to read this
- Brand-gated: the story must mention the brand/alias; then we flag political/culture-war and impact language.
- Drivers: Low volume → % share. Enough volume → which topics are hotter or quieter than usual.
